Richard Boden, BScPT (Physiotherapy)

Physiotherapy Vancouver

Rick is well acquainted with overuse and acute injuries through his passion for playing in the outdoors. His own experiences inspired him to make a shift from molecular biology research to health care, and he graduated in 2002 with a degree in physiotherapy from the University of British Columbia.

He has diverse clinical experience and has completed postgraduate course work in manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, movement/postural re-education, and neurological rehabilitation. He has trained the UBC varsity volleyball and rugby teams, and volunteers as a classifier for quadriplegic rugby. Rick has a holistic approach to the body and looks for patterns that lead to dysfunction, treating not just the symptoms but also the cause. He is currently pursuing his certification in IMS.

Areas of experience range from sport to overuse injuries, including neck and back, headaches and TMJ dysfunction, as well as brain and spinal cord injuries.
