Hans Diehl, Certified Rolfer

Rolfing Vancouver

Hans discovered the benefits of Rolfing while searching for lasting relief for his own low back pain. Through Rolfing, he saw that the source of his pain was not in his low back, but was coming from the deep tensions and torsions of the tissues that traveled from his leg up through his pelvis and spine like a knotted towel being wrung out. Rolfing systematically detorsioned and realigned these tensions (see the little boy logo below). He learned that in all cases of chronic pain, similar patterns of body wide compensating torsions exist to one degree or another.

Rolfing Vancouver Throughout the Rolfing series of sessions, he noticed progressive improvements, not just in the chronic pain, but in his ability to stand and move with greater balance and ease from a deep centered place. This poise, he came to appreciate, was a fundamental prerequisite to good posture and wellness. This experience inspired him to learn Rolfing and he took his training at the Rolf  Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Hans continues his education through the Rolf Institute and other workshops.

Since Rolfing has its roots in osteopathy and osteopathy adds precision and effectiveness to Rolfing, he decided to enhance his treatments by pursuing the study of manual osteopathy at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, and has presently completed his 3d year of training.
