In the summer of 1996, Dr. Kang was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, a debilitating illness that affected her physical and emotional health. She experienced excruciating weakness and numbness on the left side of her face. She was blessed to meet a health practitioner in Korea who specialized in Korean Hand Acutherapy (KHT). He offered to alleviate and eliminate the dreadful pain and help her regain her confidence. Not only did KHT cure her of Bell’s palsy, this powerful technique brought back joy to her existence. Once again, she felt happy to be alive. She no longer felt like the old person. She felt changed and transformed into a brand new being. Had she not been diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, she would have never been introduced to KHT.
Korean Hand Acutherapy (KHT) is an effective and yet non-invasive technique that inspired Dr. Kang to pursue it and learn everything about it. KHT inspired Dr. Kang to become a KHT practitioner and bring awareness to Western Society. In 1999, she graduated from the Korean Hand Acutherapy Medical College of Tae Woo Yoo who is the creator and founder of Korean Hand Acutherapy Medical System in South Korea. In addition, she received an additional license from KHT Medical College in 2005 as a qualified Obesity Planning & Management Therapist. While in Korea, she has treated numerous patients suffering from various medical conditions at the Community Housing Centre. During this period, she was committed to providing various forms of therapy for the elderly, athletes, and the general public. She also attended various sporting events that opened the doorway to treating injured athletes right on spot. She has educated the general public about KHT and its direct impact on the human body, both in Korea and as a volunteer KHT practitioner in Vancouver the past two years. She is glad that she finally decided to pursue her true calling and put an end to human suffering. As a licensed KHT practitioner, Dr. Kang is able to assist self and the general public with various medical conditions. Each time she sees a smile in a client’s face, it provides her with much encouragement and strength to continue spreading the word to everyone. She genuinely cares about people and she will continue to bring awareness to Vancouverites, letting them know that they have nothing to lose by opening their minds to new non-invasive conventions and possibilities.
